About

Nativ Studio

Sculptural Lighting Rooted in Ancestral Craft

Nativ Studio is a handcrafted lighting studio translating ancestral creative sensibility into contemporary sculptural objects.

Nativ was founded as an exploration of instinctive creation, a return to making guided by intuition rather than formal frameworks.

Drawing from a deeply personal engagement with heritage and identity, founder Adina Bubu reconnects with an ancestral language of craft rooted in symbolism, material awareness, and quiet ornamentation.

This approach acknowledges a form of creativity that predates institutional validation, the innate artistry expressed by past generations through embroidered textiles, carved wood, and domestic objects enriched with meaningful detail. Rather than replicating tradition, Nativ translates this sensibility into contemporary sculptural lighting.

From this perspective emerged Roots, a collection of table lamps that reinterprets ancestral motifs through restrained, architectural forms. The work explores themes of protection, continuity, and inherited memory, articulated through carved surfaces and elemental geometry.

Each piece is crafted entirely by hand using premium natural materials: wood, brass, and linen. Production is carried out by local artisans who preserve traditional techniques, ensuring that material integrity and cultural continuity remain central to the process.
