This piece is part of Chapter II | Little forest, entitled “SHE” — a chapter about childhood memories.

While creating this piece in the autumn of 2024, my thoughts often wandered home. During that time, sweet childhood memories resurfaced, when, as a child, I always had ideas I loved putting into practice. Here’s one of those stories…

Câmpulung-Mușcel | hometown:
“…I was about 10–12 years old when I received a slide projector / filmstrip projector as a gift (none of my friends had anything like it). So I decided to create a ‘movie theater’ in the basement of the house where I lived — to give them a magical space filled with visual stories. I wanted them to experience what I had lived. Even though cartoons already existed, the filmstrips had their own charm.
The projector was operated manually, so I controlled it from a room where the little ones couldn’t see me, reading aloud the stories projected onto the wall…”

About

Little forest

Little forest was created from and for authentic moments. The focus is, above all, on the contexts and moments in which L.f. garments are worn, as the fabrics themselves are truly exceptional.

The clothes are made from contemporary traditional materials and serve as a complementary intention to the current market, with a clear vision of comfort, naturalness, functionality, and simplicity. And ultimately, beauty.

The vision of L.f. is to carry forward the idea (from thought to creation) and to promote natural beauty and functionality in everyday life for as many people as possible — both as wardrobe essentials and as statement pieces for authentic moments.

The mission of L.f. rests on two main pillars (education and creation) and begins with two clear directions.

The first direction is aspirational, dedicated to the end customer, with the intention of passing on values from one generation to another (a dialogue between past and future, tradition and progress), through natural fabrics / traditional hemp cloths, reimagined in an innovative way and offering the possibility to choose truly special pieces.

The second direction is inspirational / emotional, aiming to convey the thought and feeling from the very beginning, when Little forest came to life:
"I have always felt an interest in creativity and a burning desire to create, and once I embraced it, it felt like a dream come true. I don’t know which part of me feeds creation, but it feels good, balanced — sometimes it even brings joy. Now, I regret not daring to embrace the desire to create earlier. But we all make mistakes."
